The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a trade association for the world’s airlines, representing all major airlines or 83.1% of total air traffic across 126 countries. IATA supports many areas of aviation activity and helps formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues. IATA was founded in Havana, Cuba, on 19 April 1945.
